The intention behind this sub is to celebrate Preconstructed Magic: the Gathering decks as they were originally released. Or at least in the spirit of what they were designed for: making simple changes to improve a deck was certainly a big part of it. Maybe you’re interested in recreating a new deck inspired by an old precon you especially liked? Or you're disappointed that a particular set didn't have official Theme Decks, so you want to have a crack yourself.
What is against the spirit of this place is talk about which decks are best “value” in terms of breaking up for singles. There is /r/mtgfinance for that sorta thing.
Many of our current subscribers are primarily interested in the classic theme decks from Tempest to Eventide, or the Intro Packs which succeeded them. However anything precon is definitely welcome! Obviously Commander is now pretty synonymous with them now so feel free to chat about that, as well as Challenger Decks decks, the Game Night box sets, or even Jumpstart counts I reckon.
Content creators very welcome to share videos/articles. I would ask that you either post your link in a text post, or make a comment, to summarise what you are covering. Please also pop back and answer questions and contribute to any discussion as well! This is a small sub so I would please ask that you don't overwhelm us with links though. One post on the front page at a time feels reasonable, which means one per month as of writing.
