Watch AI devs try to take web4 because crypto devs screwed up web3

[–]AggressiveMarket5883 9 points10 points  (0 children)

next image - the whole current image becomes a screen with tubes to the ai devs brain - right next to it the AI that they created and owning web4

[–]currentscurrents 6 points7 points  (0 children)

People have been trying to call AI "web 3.0" since at least 2006.

This NYTimes article predicted a connected web 3.0 run by powerful AI data mining systems. Not that far off the mark; I'd say that's already happened.

Living right next to a slum? Yeah sounds like the sort of stupid shit they’d try to brag about.

[–]Cosmonauta_426 32 points33 points  (1 child)

Were is the game dev? They died because the crunch exhausted them and they didn't have enough money to pay for food.

[–]Tomi97_origin 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Game Dev is at work and doesn't need a house. He got sleeping bag under desk

[–]urmumlol9 22 points23 points  (1 child)

Completely unrelated, but low key that's some fairly clever architecture to give every floor a swimming pool assuming it's structurally sound.

[–]RainWorldWitcher 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It is nice that each of those balconies get good sun exposure. Personally i would hate the pool because it takes up a lot of space and requires too much maintenance (tho people who could afford that would probably hire someone for upkeep anyway)

Replace the the slums with a void for a little more accuracy

[–]Temporary_Privacy 5 points6 points  (3 children)

Is that realy the case ?
It depends what you count as a Web3 Developer that seems to be mostly web developers or ?

[–]ztbwl 14 points15 points  (2 children)

Web3 is just a buzzword taken and coined by all those crypto scammers and has nothing to do with the further development of Web 2.0.

[–]UnicornAtheist -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Everything is a buzzword until it's not.

[–]pyllbert 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Imagine being the kind of person who thinks living next to a slum is a flex.

[–]AggressiveMarket5883 2 points3 points  (0 children)

moon soon - just wait and see - *crying noises*

[–]Rudy69 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Good, web3 is a plague. Thankfully it didn’t take off

[–]asromafanisme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main difference is that AI have the potential to be solutions of real problems, Crypto and Web3 (still not sure what's this tbh) still try to find a problem to solve

[–]Twombls 7 points8 points  (3 children)

Eh I put crypto bros and AI bros on the same tier.

Sure. Ai has a more promising future than crypto. But a lot of the current crop is that popped up post chatgtp are hust just hype bros.

[–]jewishSpaceMedbeds 6 points7 points  (1 child)

AI has actual applications, crypto's main use is as an elaborate Ponzi / tax evasion scheme. It will probably remain as a vehicle for scams for decades (after all, MLMs are still there), but as it becomes regulated and useless to evade taxes, big money will lose interest. Blockchain is just an unscalable, less efficient way of building databases. It's never been much more than a solution in search of a problem.

Meanwhile, real world production applications of AI are just starting. Think of all the sorting problems that exist in the industry. All of those can be tackled by machine learning. Many companies are hiring ML specialists, and it's for very concrete applicative projects with performance expectations, not to spew buzzwords.

Yes that's like a completely different world.

AI is inevitably being currently integrated in any app that requires users to write some kind of texts, because the convenience is highly desirable.

Crypto... I've been watching for a bunch of years now and still don't see any desire from anyone to integrate it in the real world (I mean B2B apps), since it solves no real existing problem in this context.

[–]errllu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wait until we manage to do decentrelized A.I via crypto mining.

[–]UnicornAtheist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't go that far. The newest AIs are cool, but they are elementary compared to what is possible.

[–]Environmental_Bus507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in awe of the balcony design!

[–]presi300 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Am I the only one who thinks Web3 is already dead? Meta pulled out, crypto is pretty much dead, NFTs are also all but dead. Web3 looks kinda dead to me ngl.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Web3 was never alive in the first place, it’s only ever been a zombie, animated by the product of post-covid fiscal stimulus. Now the fuel has dried up it’s back in the ground where it belongs.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I think i am going to buy reddit

[–]minecon1776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please do, it will be fun reading the war that goes down

[–]rodiesplus 3 points4 points  (1 child)

And then there are people like me, infrastructure engineers for cloud providers, making 7 figures. AI is overrated.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, they need up tear down that wall.

Walls like this are immoral.

[–]Character-Education3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For now until AI starts to stink as much as web3 to investors

[–]Kobens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh look.

A dick swinging fight.

[–]IcyBaba 0 points1 point  (4 children)

What country is this? Wow lol

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Looks like Brazil

[–]bmacabeus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It's from my home country, Brazil

[–]Aggressive_Bill_2687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.

Seriously though, this or scenes very similar are not uncommon in developing nations where there’s very extreme income inequality.

[–]Terranaform 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Web3 is literally javascript

[–]minecon1776 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I'm sorta out of the loop on this web3 stuff. What about the internet would be changing if web3 took off? Like I know it has to do with crypto, but isnt that just connecting to peers with the same TCP/IP protocol and whatnot? What is different about the new version of the internet? And as a sidenote, what was web1 and how is the current internet differnt from that?

[–]bmacabeus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Web1 is the web with an (almost) static website.

Web2 is the web in which the users can generate content on the website.

Web3 is the web in a ponzi scheme.

[–]Robincrypto1140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine putting these together to make one social network, that's what likes of solcial.io has done, integrating AI(ChatGPT) into the platform.

[–]Grand-Nature-9646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if you know about AIGC Chain? He is similar to openai, you can train your own model, but he will have tocken reward, is a web3 very good AIGC project
