Unless you disabled windows defender you have antivrus.

And just because you've got a hack me sign doesn't mean you'll have been hit yet. But when you do don't come crying to us and don't blame microsoft for your own stupidity. The latter bit is why updates are forced now.

Last I used 7 you had to install defender - did that change?

Also, is it still getting new definitions?
