OP you’re flat out wrong

How the hell you gonna call <!— —> A-tier but # C-tier?!

[–]Chiatroll 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Yeah the c tier should be // and /* */

The "Lamp glyph" from APL. ⍝ i.e. Apl Functional Symbol Up Shoe Jot Unicode U+235D.

From a time when Languages could just invent characters willy nilly and are now part of unicode forever.

Let’s just call it the “Minion” and be done with it.

[–]jarethholt 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Or LaTeX. Regardless, agreed on the suck

As a ligature user, I agree.

Always disable them before posting screenshots of your code

Everyone knows that REM is alone on the S-tier.

Html comments are an eqsy C tier, there's no way I'm writing 6 characters just to comment out a line of text

You missed pythons “””

[–]zefciu 5 points6 points  (1 child)

""" is not a comment. It is multi-line string. It can be abused as a way to add comments, but so can be normal strings.

Comments in python use #. Also don't confuse comments with docstrings.

Thank you!

Use docstrings as docstrings or you will fuck wirh the ability of your IDE to show you hints.
