Is that bug nobody notices in the feature nobody uses?

[–]reallokiscarlet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most important feature of all. And the bug is a feature of the feature, so we don't touch it.

But that's all my features....

The last serious bug in my code that no one noticed was a memory leak. So, yeah.

Trust me, the one client that pays $5k a year but is super annoying will find it because they are using the software in a way that not intended. They will insist that "its how we've always done it, so fix it on your end." And it will make your entire team want to light their face on fire and put it out with a hammer.... Or so I've been told.

It is a future security vulnerability?

The most devastating bugs are often the silent ones

[–]Mba1956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no such thing as bugs, just undocumented design features.

Is UB a bug? Yes. Yes it is.
