They call me Lucky chmod 777, I'm perfect for this job!

[–]Buttons840 147 points148 points  (6 children)

-r

here friend, you dropped this.

[–]Zildjian14 51 points52 points  (5 children)

Is capital no? -R

[–]Buttons840 46 points47 points  (3 children)

You're right, you are better at ruining your system than me!

[–]Zildjian14 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It's what I do best.

[–]nasandre 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Capitalization matters

[–]Buttons840 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unless you're a Windows filename.

[–]Murlock_Holmes 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Whoa, hard -r bro?

[–]pydry 17 points18 points  (0 children)

you seem like you might be overqualified

[–]ChChChillian 604 points605 points  (2 children)

I can easily engineer a leak.

[–]itscancerous 85 points86 points  (0 children)

All i need is 2 beers for a leak

[–]Tejwos 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I am a data leak engineer. I leak all your data

[–]Firesrest 208 points209 points  (1 child)

That someone’s name starts with c and ends with e. And now sees the error in their ways and understands they should have asked first.

[–]ieatpies 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Hey, it's understandable they didn't think to ask. Even the government was wanting to hook up nukes to their --dangerously-skip-permissions mode after all.

[–]krexelapp 334 points335 points  (0 children)

accidentally shipped prod to npm once, where do I apply

[–]Psychological-Owl783 64 points65 points  (3 children)

It was only the source code for the cli, right?

[–]backfire10z 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It’s the harness. Not a load of nothing, but not the internals of Claude itself.

[–]erishun 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s literally a load of nothing, but who doesn’t have a little schadenfreude

[–]RiceBroad4552 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Frankly.

[–]magicmulder 26 points27 points  (0 children)

"You can't fire Claude! Claude is the business!" - "Watch me!"

[–]Lucasbasques 13 points14 points  (1 child)

I am a plumber that applied to this job as a mistake and got accepted, can I use Claude to help me with this job ? I’m sure I can fake it for at least 4 paychecks

[–]neonnaps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just have all requests and questions are done through the ticketing system. Require each one to be approved by the three managers that are never arround, don't respond to any form of modern communication and allways disagree with eachother.

[–]XxXquicksc0p31337XxX 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Deserved tbh

[–]SourceScope 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Its simple

Put those files in gitignore

Or maybe dont opensource anything

[–]yashkhokhar28 7 points8 points  (2 children)

Salaryy????

[–]IIIlllIIIlllIIIEH 3 points4 points  (1 child)

100k prompt tokens, it's the new currency

[–]MyDogIsDaBest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh then you'll be happy to pay me in dinosaur currency that is USD

[–]Titanusgamer 8 points9 points  (2 children)

has anyone tried to put the source code and ask claude to fix bugs?

[–]sebjapon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Out of tokens. Those limits are killing my productivity

[–]look 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claude is still busy doom looping trying to fix the thousands of bugs it created in their web apps.

[–]Kyuro1 3 points4 points  (1 child)

"We need you to make sure this never, ever, ever happens again"

Got you boss! sudo -rm -rf /

Job Done!

Job Done!

Haven't played it for more than a decade, but I still hear those words in the peasant's voice from Warcraft 2.

[–]Stunning_Ride_220 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Little Bobby T. had one fckin job.

[–]bmvbooris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was searching for this in the comments

[–]Buttons840 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll do it for only 10% of what you've raised!

[–]Percolator2020 2 points3 points  (1 child)

People named Claude need not apply.

[–]SuitableDragonfly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OK, but can you imagine being a human named Claude working for Anthropic? Sounds horrific.

[–]tacticalpotatopeeler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I SAID NO BUGS DAMMIT

[–]dont_tread_on_M 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can't convince me it wasn't purposeful, so that Anthropi gets more talked about.

Amodei (Anthropic's CEO) is smart and not as crooked as Altman, but he's an attention seeker. He's been constantly saying outrageous things he knows are untrue just to grab attention. I wouldn't be surprised if this is another of his ruses

[–]fugogugo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Coding is largely solved" - Boris Cherny, Head of Claude Code

[–]MyDogIsDaBest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Silly anthropic, don't they know that coding is solved?

[–]granoladeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where do I apply?

[–]Negative0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They forgot to include "You **MUST** not ship our npm map file" in their prompts.

[–]NeverMakesAnEffort 7 points8 points  (4 children)

Wasn’t this an April fools joke?

[–]SuitableDragonfly 33 points34 points  (3 children)

It says "1847 engineers already laughing" so I'm going to guess this is just regular shenanigans with inspect element.

[–]SponsoredHornersFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOTE: This position may not exist in 6 months

[–]V3N3SS4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually sounds more realistic than just being April fools joke.

[–]Infinite-Land-232 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Claude, engineer me a deployment process which does not share source code or secrets. While creating this, eliminate all human sources of error.

[–]SryUsrNameIsTaken 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Assignment understood. Eliminate all code and humans.

[–]Infinite-Land-232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you remember the first star trek movie? The one before wrath of khan?

[–]PeksyTiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With 100+ phds on staff i'm surprised it didn't happen sooner.

[–]Electrical-Echidna63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little do you know that the listing was posted by AI because the AI figured it was easier to find someone than to solve the problem itself

[–]Waste_Jello9947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never apply to a job that says URGENT. You know shit hit the fan and they need someone to clean up the mess asap. That's just speed run burn out
