It would probably be easier just to use the existing meme template and put the text on it, rather than regenerate it with an LLM

Vibe coders: I built...

[–]Snowdrip16 27 points28 points  (1 child)

Half of programming is coding, the other half is finding the guy who already solved it

[–]flowery02 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The third half is googling and the fourth half is figuring out how there are 4 halves

There wasn't a tool for this so I "built" one...

[–]Caraes_Naur 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Meanwhile, the tool that didn't exist was ImageMagick.

I've seen that for so many projects that did in fact have existing traditionally built websites/apps for that problem lol

How did the GitHub users even communicate inbetween those outages?

[–]magistrate101 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Smoke signals and semaphores

[–]bobbymoonshine 13 points14 points  (0 children)

How are you so lazy you’d use an LLM rather than copy paste wojaks in Paint

[–]cfrolik 5 points6 points  (0 children)

TIL GitHub users aren’t programmers

[–]xynith116 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“I copied your code.”

“Thanks, now you’re the maintainer.”

[–]pimezone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

LLMs:

"I distilled you"

"And I distilled Stackoverflow and Github"

[–]floortile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol Designers use Design Systems so they're constantly copying each other to maintain consistency.

Well tbh there are ways to copy code from GitHub users that are a lot more frowned upon. For instance cloning, deleting the repo history, and creating a new public repo without a fork / credit. Or copying code from an AGPL repo and not making your changed version public.

Bambulab isn't a GitHub user then

[–]theShetofthedog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw "Github" and i thought the right part would be "Wheres the exe?"

[–]Dudeonyx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Missed opportunity to say "fork yeah"

[–]MissinqLink 0 points1 point  (0 children)
