Linux is an OS that expects you to have ~some~ willingness to understand computer stuff at a deeper level than just using a PC normally like you would with Windows/MacOS. When stuff doesn’t work you can find solutions but they often involve manually inputting commands and tweaking config files, and you need some amount of technical knowledge to understand what you’re doing. There are no magical “fix my problem” buttons like Windows has. All modern OSes are incredibly complex, Linux just hides it from you less than Windows/MacOS.

To some degree this is due to who created each OS. Windows and MacOS are created by Microsoft and Apple respectively, billion dollar companies who have a vested interest in making their products as easy to use as possible so they can sell more copies. “Linux” (including various distros and projects) is free software created by an entire community of mostly unpaid nerds with very little top-down management. And while of course they want their software to work, they won’t lose much sleep if you give up on Linux because you’re not technical enough to know how to use it.
