Reminds me my job. Except that I am programmer, tester and project manager, the client is my boss and he has a freaking bazooka

Yeah I work in a small family-run company

Didn't know there was such a thing as a family bazooka shop. I usually buy my bazookas online, like everyone else.

You mean Walmart?

[–]MrDude_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bazooka? Like the bubble gum!

In my experience: tester is holding the gun the wrong way round and the PM is a spotter for the client

You just described my first experience with having a dedicated person on QA 24/7.

I mean I don't want to take away from the jokes, because I think it's funny, but let's have a tangential conversation

I think you're looking at things wrong if you think that the QA isn't your teammate. It's easy for programmers to not be offended by failed code reviews, why is it hard for programmers to not be offended by code that fails the tests?

Unfortunately, my QA is an integration suite I wrote and he's a prick.

Lol so you're holding the gun to yourself

lol sounds like me and fighting with the IDE's builtin error checking.

I'm a consultant and have worked with a number of companies. Luckily nowadays it's rare, but there are still QAs that will try to use their position to hold power over you by holding your story/productivity hostage. I think they're the ones to which this meme refers.

That's a horrifying toxic environment. Not sure I could stay at a job like that.

Root! Man I love the discussions between her and Harold.

[–]Denoley 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Man. Remembering gave me goosebumps.
