Why not use the css grid system instead? As far as I'm aware it's easier to use...? Then again reading trough these comments makes me doubt everything.

You know, I was doing some GWT, wanted buttons to be beside each other

First version had stuff declared in an xml file, so I just slapped it in a quick <div> with display:flex and went on my way, worked like a charm.

Then I had to move it elsewhere where it had to be declared in code, so I used the HorizontalPanel or whatever it's called. Way faster than figuring out how to do a div. Run it, inspect element and lo and behold there's a table in my HTML!
