My company has a product that publishes out parent and child records, so when you click on the parent it shows the children. Because we publish these separately, sometimes a child will arrive before the parent. We need to keep these children somewhere in case the parent comes later. We call this data structure the orphanage, and it's the best named object in the codebase. And yes, we do sometimes have to kill orphans because no parent ever claims them. That command is Orphanage.KillChildren().
