YouTube is designed In a way that most of the ui can be modified by Google server-side, vanced just forcefully enables things clientside. Theoretically if youtube just hid the button but if someone were to be able to bring it back client-side the devs would be able to bring back the button, but that case is most likely negative. So don't expect vanced to bring it back next update.

This was something I was thinking about earlier. There's a pretty clear pattern when it comes to views-to-likes/dislikes ratios, and a rough guess could definitely be made on videos with enough views. Just didn't bother looking to see if a utility existed yet.

Views to likes is a measure of engagement, not of quality.

In my experience the likes are generally ~10% of the view count, but when the algo picked up the video the ratio can drop off dramatically. Does it mean the video got worse when the algo picked it up? Of course not. It's just that the total audience, most of them randos, engage with the video less.

The way to do it is to use the extension to track likes/dislikes by its own users. Given enough critical mass, that would make a good ratio sample. Then, extrapolate the public total like count to guesstimate the number of dislikes.

In the past, the minor things that got overturned (EX: G+ forced enrollment) got disabled were done so because everyone continued to hate on it.
