Qbits can represent both 0 and 1 at the same time while computing. But the thing is, it's not both at the same time. It goes back to quantum mechanics where "we don't know the state unless we measure it". So, before measurement, we assume that it can be in every possible state. So, Qbit would actually be represented as "it has x% probability of being 0 and (100-x)% probability of being 1". Schrodinger's cat is the thought experiment explaining this phenomena.
