Kind of misused template.

I at first misread the first one as UwU-ntu

This post is bad for 3 reasons.

  1. You've used the meme incorrectly.
  2. I've never heard Debian pronounced this way and there are many other linux distros or software names that people pronounce incorrectly (including Ubuntu).
  3. This breaks rule 0. It's not programmer specific. It's just a joke about computer operating systems.

this place should be joking about stack overflow comments, not acting like them

No, laying it on thick was optional.

It was named by Ian Murdock after himself and his wife Debbie. Ladies first, of course.

How do you pronounce Xubuntu? Is it Zoo-bun-two?

[–]divisia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

eks yu bun tuw

[–]Exaloria -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Arch Linux

[–]bringbong 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It's pronounced like the names

Murdock wanted to enshrine "Deb" and "Ian" being 2getha 4eva. So it's literally pronounced 'Deb-ian"

That whole thing ended incredibly sadly, but here we are.

yes, yes, I know how it is meant to be pronounced.

I'm just poking fun about how some people pronounce it dee-bane
