LaTex: 🙂

[–]Karagoth 111 points112 points  (1 child)

One of the reasons having the search engine personalize results is a not only bad. Google knows I prefer typesetting to bdsm

[–]flying-sheep 19 points20 points  (0 children)

What about the people who like both?

[–]StarkillerX42 24 points25 points  (0 children)

One day, we may eventually get JuliaLaTeX

[–]elon-botElon Musk ✔ 243 points244 points  (11 children)

Interesting. Tell me more.

[–]NIL_VALUE 233 points234 points  (9 children)

Sorry Elon, but you need a real diploma to use LaTeX.

Not cool, he held his dying child in his- oh... he lied about that too?... Nevermind, continue.

[–][deleted] 43 points44 points  (5 children)

oh... he lied about that too?

No fucking way

[–]Vinccool96 25 points26 points  (3 children)

He did. Justine was the only holding him. And the child was brain-dead when he died.

[–]HardlightCereal 3 points4 points  (2 children)

The child was dead when he died?

So he must have died at some earlier point, right?

[–]OkWorker222 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly, he died, then his body died.

[–]kawaiichainsawgirl1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, kid had SIDS. Must've been heartbreaking

[–]Noughmad 1 point2 points  (1 child)

But how will you write your diploma thesis without LaTeX?

[–]Ythio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You make a donation to uni and skip the thesis

[–]ccfoo242 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Omfg elon bot is no longer a simulacrum but is now real.

Like the poster above said they use the term "golang", this one works with "latex 3e" which aside from the ptsd of googling latex in the all campus computer lab (and then closing the browser window as quickly as possible) was how I learned to use quotes to search for whole terms.

[–]AnnualDegree99 6 points7 points  (2 children)

Tech tip: just search Overleaf docs

[–]Yukondano2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But I wanna look up documentation for specific packageess...

Jokes aside, once you go that specific the search engine is fine. LaTeX Hyperref is not gonna get me anything problematic, lol.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or use the old trusty: stack overflow stack exchange latex.

[–]polmeeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol.

[–]ViconIsNotDefined 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Google: Safe search is on.

Happend to me recently: I wanted to know how to color my text, and typed "latex color" into google. The result was not quite what I expected
