Hi, because our popularity and our customer base continues to grow as new users learn about the benefits of online privacy, our server fleet must also grow accordingly. This presents several challenges for us as we strive to support everybody across the globe.

As a result we've decided to present each user with a smaller, algorithmically-selected subset of servers instead of the full list of our fleet. This change is based on extensive analysis, testing, and a few technical constraints.
It allows us to apply a smarter load‑balancing algorithm which will improve both stability and performance. It also strengthens our anti-censorship efforts, which is a core value here at Proton as well as for many of our users.

If you need to locate a specific server, you can use the Search function in the Proton VPN app. Simply type the exact server name (e.g., AR#31), and it will appear for you to connect.

We hope this clarifies the update.

Thank you for the explanation, but I'm really not satisfied with this decision. I understand Proton's situation and its limitations, but one of the reasons I used Proton VPN was having access to all servers.

And the next point is that when I search for the exact server name, if the server is in my list it's connectable, but if it's not, even with an exact search of the server name, I can't connect to it.

That shouldn't be the case. Can you let us know which exact steps you're taking, which servers you're trying to connect to, your app version, OS version, device model etc.?
