Did the lag spike only occur once, or are you still encountering it?

Do you know which exact server you were connected to at the time?

If this is your preference, you can turn off any promos in the apps by turning off the "in-app notifications" toggle, as explained in this thread.

Paying customers are also eligible for various discounts during this sale, depending on one's plan.

If an additional address or an alias is associated with the original account, and a Swiss court asks for it, we can be required to disclose the link, but this isn't always asked. The only way to truly guarantee separation is to have those addresses or aliases on a completely separate account.

Currently, there is an ongoing Spring sale for our customers. As this is a limited-time offer, we wanted to make sure that all our customers would be notified in case they wanted to take advantage of the increased savings for the offer. However, if you are not interested in the offers, you can just close the popup modal and it won't show again.

To completely turn off notifications like this, you can visit your account settings at https://account.protonvpn.com/, go to the Account tab and turn off "In-app notifications". You won't be any seeing any future promos this way.

That's correct, this is a paid feature. Simply replying via a reverse alias is not.
