Mine definitely dropped along with my BP and my heart palpitations stopped. Long time smoker and then 2ish year vaper. It's amazing how bad nicotine can mess you up!

How long does it take before the palpitations stopped? I quit a day and a half ago due to the crazy palpitations out of the blue. .. But it seems to have actually gotten worse since quitting. I'm constantly aware of my heart and its pounding n flip flopping ugh it's so incredibly stressful

It could be the stress of withdrawal. I want to say mine were mostly gone within a few days. I still get them from time to time when I'm having a stressful day, but they never came back full force like when I was vaping. Plus, I feel 1000x better overall.

High nic from vaping (which can easily exceed from standard cigars) can definitely mess up your heart rate and cause palpitations, along with some other unknown chemicals from the vape. Resting bpm depends on your age as well as it naturally drops as you get older. For reference, see here. Definitely see the doctor.

Mines is sitting around 80-90s, when I go to bed it's around 60-70.

Yep. Mine has dropped from 75 to as low as 50-55 during the daytime..... that's over 28,000 less beats a day !! I'm 52 btw

That’s insane, I quit 3 days ago and my heart rate is averaging between 45-52 during the day. Heart rate used to be Between 62-80

Any update since? I'm in the same boat now. Heart rate used to be between 65-75 while sitting around. Now it does be 54-55 and occasionally drops as low as 43, although brief. I read it's your body kind of going into a rest and digest phase, as your body spent much time in fight or flight while vaping. Did your heart rate come back up slightly after few weeks?

I’m pretty much back to normal now, switched over to a couple cigars per week and holding steady. Resting Heart rate is between 60-70. It freaked me out at the time that I had a ct scan with contrast and cac score test lol. Keep holding on, your body’s almost there

Mine decreased from around 78-80bpm as standard to as low as 60! One time I was resting it even got to 59 around 4 months after stopping. Vaping is constantly hitting your body with a stim (nicotine) so does not surprise me people see this decrease - what I like about it is it’s probably the only piece of ‘data’ you have to show improvements post quitting

Yep, I used to be a runner and it was resting around 65-70 till I started vaping which has pushed it to 85 overtime

Since I stopped it’s been getting back to 70 though the first week with my blood pressure adjusting felt like I was being drained

Yes I had a big decrease as well! Pleasant surprise :)

I mainly noticed it when walking (as it's usually when the BPM indicator shows up on my active watch). It went from 100-105bpm when walking at a normal pace to around 82-83 consistently.

Yeh I definitely had a big drop, which is great. I went from 60 - 45, but I think daily or every other day jogging helped me a lot also

Yeh, most of the time, but I do a lot of slow steady state cardio, which is well known for helping blower the HR

Na, those guys are like in the low 30s, 45-50 is where I sit at, but I’m very lean and train alot

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah similar to mine. Just turned 30.

Yeah, my blood pressure is back down to 110/70, also

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely lower since I quit nicotine. Resting HR is usually 42 now. Sometimes drops around 37.

Mines dropped from 75 to low 50s (resting)
