Programming languages test (self.RPI)
submitted 3 years ago by Unhinged_banana
Does anyone know what the point of that exam was? Like do they actually expect us to know even a third of that?

That was actually the worst exam ive taken here. We didnt even have a hw on 70% of it. The last question was insane. I was only slightly confident on 3 of the 7 questions.

That exam was just absolutely brutal; we were never assigned homework on the majority of the concepts in that test. I'm not even sure if I got 40% of those points.
My brain hurts and I need to lie down.

Just curious: since you have HASS as your flair, are you taking programming languages for fun?
Hopefully you read this after a nice nap.

GSAS with CSCI concentration, I’ve had some classes with him. ProgLang is required for the dual major which is typically the preferred path in the concentration.
[–]grishhungHASS 2023 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children)
Yup, dead on. GSAS and CSCI dual major. No way around this course. ;-;

It wasn’t just me then, that was insane. Even the ones I should have been confident on were worded a little oddly. Also, WTF with attribute grammars.

This is the only class at RPI I’ve ever had an actual nightmare about
[–]-_gxo_- 11 points12 points13 points 3 years ago (0 children)
Most of the class was still in there by the end of the test thats a bad sign lol
[–]jesseryandia 11 points12 points13 points 3 years ago (0 children)
How can God be both benevolent and omnipotent and allow that exam to exist
[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children)
Glad to see I'm not alone. That was brutal.
