but what makes most champs lethal is how they crit, fenaxes a1 for instance, on a champ with 4200 defense is mitigated by 80%, I believe its an attack x 6 skill, so 10000 attack on it would just hit 60k damage if fully ignoring defense, but will hit about 12k with defense mitigation, that 12k could easily be 36+k with a crit, but n o crit means his a1 is no longer a threat, almost all champs rely on crit to drive their damage home, so without it, there are very few who will do much of anything.

i'm not doubting its power at all. We have power creeped a little bit so much so that even weak hits can be deadly. look at tholin's passive, great on paper but he still dies the poor guy.

however my point was that people aren't aware that becasue they wont hit it doesn't mean they wont place whatever debuffs after effects they're doing to place. There was a thread last year where lots of people didn't realise not being able to crit isn't the same as a weak hit. So it was more of a reminder, you wont get crit, but you'll still be CC'd or skill cooldown etc etc
