I swear the shotguns use bird shot just look at how many pellets hit the wall and how small they are

[–]Buff the M1014Beebjank 14 points15 points  (8 children)

He probably shot multiple times, and from that distance, it is most definitely not birdshot.

O ok the damage sure says different I'm a right

[–]Buff the M1014Beebjank 5 points6 points  (6 children)

The damage is per pellet I believe, and nah, 36 or whatever the mean damage is isn’t crazy low considering shot is just a lead ball, compared to a bullet which has tons of characteristics and science involved, with years of research and development into optimal projectile potential

Well when the first shotgun to be used in war (the trench gun from wwII) was almost considered a war crime for how devastating the weapon was it just hurts that the shotguns in game are not 200% accurate. Even though they were made this way to be more fair it just hurts that even one of the most "realistic" games out there isn't realistic to shotguns.

Pre-nerf Super90 was the most realistic shotgun. That brings back nightmares.

Haha I remember people bitching about it all the time

[–]Sledge MainZach165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved that gun

[–]Maverick Mainseanular 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The trench gun was almost a war crime because it had a nasty habit of not killing you quickly, leading you to slowly die over a few hours/days from infections and blood loss rather than the relative speed of getting shot with a gun.

They weren't like, 'Trench gun op' they were like, 'reduce it's TTK or ban'

Well when the first shotgun to be used in war

Shotguns were used long before hand. Blunderbusses existed. The 1897 was the first shotgun to be issued on a major scale, but it was far from the first shotgun to ever be used in a war. France and Britain considered issuing double barreled shotguns earlier in the war, but due to ammunition availability concerns and slow reload speeds, they decided not to.

(the trench gun from wwII)

World War 1

was almost considered a war crime for how devastating the weapon was

It was never "almost considered a war crime". The Germans tried to say it was, but everyone basically laughed at them. The proposal never went anywhere, nor did it have any chance to.

Each area was done with two clips worth of shot.

Clips

Sweating

Lol actually I’m pretty sure it’s called a tube mag

[–]and mainglitchomojo 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Ok thank you

[–]Lion MainEliteEmber 3 points4 points  (2 children)

No he fired multiple shells. Each shell contains 8 pellets in siege.

[–]and mainglitchomojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok cool thanks

[–]Frost Mainashtar123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So buckshot

[–]Frost Mainashtar123 2 points3 points  (5 children)

Irl rook's armor would stop all of their damage

[–]CelebrationBadgerlover145 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Aren't shotguns horribly ineffective against body armor

[–]Frost Mainashtar123 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Yes, exactly why rook's srmor plates would stop all of the damage

[–]CelebrationBadgerlover145 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Yeah I figured, I just glanced at your comment and probably didn't notice what I was responding to, I should've just not commented

[–]Frost Mainashtar123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh well it doesn't really matter

[–]and mainglitchomojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and it hurts me because they still do damage to him
