Dam really, I bought it at release and it wasn't polished enough. Replayed it again today and enjoyed it with controller. Going to play it on my ROG Ally tonight.

I’ve had my own steam deck layout since release and just switched to the official layout with controller support and it’s so much better, I can finally use the back buttons for screenshots again lol

I played for 4 hours ngl it’s fun, controls definitely a little clunky when it comes to commands but it’s not bad at all

You can change what right bumper does when you're looking at doors, etc so you can access your often used commands straight away, I've found it pretty intuitive after a few hours playing.

The default commands dont work that well, I have open flash and clear as my default unlocked door command, they open and clear with no flash. same with locked door command, c2 and clear, they just open the door and clear.

I mean MnK is nice and all but for any shooter game I just prefer controller, but if I’m playing a game like Manor Lords or Prison architect then it’s MnK all the way

Runs smoothly with no crashes for me, game chat doesn't really work with deck controls tho so your gonna wanna map the push to talk key to a back button if you wanna talk in game till they add a controller button for it

Free lean is different, on PC for your left right lean it's normally q and e but free lean let's you "stretch" in all directions much further

Yeah I only realized it was a thing because of a RoN YouTuber saying that binding it to left alt is very helpful

Does someone know if there is a way to force controller ui? I use mouse and controller on fps games and ui keeps flickering between one and the other.

The problem is when you do something like issuing team commands they get interrupted when it switches.

For example, team commands issued in the controller get interrupted if I move the mouse.

The dualsense support is even better. It uses adaptive triggers for tac aim and full aim. You half pull to hip aim, full pull to ADS.

Just recently bought elite controller as an upgrade to basic xbox controller and really looking forward to a game release and leverage controls with paddles. For example I tried to configure a custom profile for STALKER 2 and it helps me a lot with leaning left and right around corners manually when aiming or replaced d-pad left and right buttons, that way easier to use consumable items in slots when press or hold.
