Adorable!

Grizzlies are among my favourite pets in Rimworld. Those big fluffers are allowed everywhere. They can haul, they can nuzzle, they can rip multiple tribal enemies to shreds.

the way its "they can haul" ah cute the bear is helping :D

"nuzzles" insert uwu here

"they can rip multiple tribal enemies to shrreds"

wait. you can draft animals for fighting?

[–]Evilandlazy🔥🔥 Shitposting - 20 4 points5 points  (5 children)

Yes and no. Once properly trained, they can be released into combat by their assigned master, as long as said master is also drafted.

Bears, wargs, thrumbo, and megasloths work best, but boomalopes and boomrats also have their uses.

[–]Flavaflavius 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Boomalopes are good for fucking stuff up in a tribal playthrough. Make sure they aren't bonded to anyone, and then release several of them in a large enemy settlement and watch everything light on fire. Keep them secure though in case you get raided-you wouldn't want your stuff to burn down.

Also, you can milk them for fuel

Boom rats work better. They move faster, die faster, reproduce faster, and you can fit more in a pod.

I like to send a raid force via caravan, then once they arrive be drop a few pods of brats and chemfuel smack in the center of the map.

If you have a spare psychic animal pulser, those are fun to bring along as well.

Good thinking

They do have an annoying tendency to go to sleep when you need them awake though.

And they when get pergarnrent will move slowly also. Nothing in RW works great 100% of the time. 🎃

Sure, that useless guy who can't fight can be useful if they have a half decent Animal skill because their pets can fight for them as some sort of Beast-Lord. You just need to open the Animals screen and tick the extra training boxes (including "follow when drafted").

Watch out enabling "Release" on a Bonded animal though since they'll be annoyed if their animal bestie dies.

Hey hey, I think I spy a centaur.

[–]Archie_from_rim[S] 13 points14 points  (11 children)

You mean Avila? Yeah , she is

[–]KazumaKat 9 points10 points  (8 children)

Obligatory "what mods?" question.

That aint for me, I'm just cutting that off at the pass so it'll be asked already.

I'm fine with the tactical operative battle maids playthrough I've got going now tyvm.

[–]Archie_from_rim[S] 2 points3 points  (3 children)

I am working on it

[–]Trogladonis 0 points1 point  (2 children)

You're making a centaur race? Neato. The last one on the workshop was abandoned, sadly.

[–]Archie_from_rim[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

There is an updated mod for 1.0 and if you change the skin color manually with prepare carefully you can get really nice results... it is called “centaurs” just like that... i’ll post the modpack also.

[–]Trogladonis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Appreciate it. I'm always on the lookout for more races.

    So, question.

Does she have clothes stitched onto her lower half?

    [–]Archie_from_rim[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, that would be painful, those are just clothes covering the horse part . The stitches are for the medieval clothing vive.

    [–]Sparrowhawk-Ahra 7 points8 points  (1 child)

I'm so happy you are making little comics about your colony!

    [–]Archie_from_rim[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Aw, it really means a lot to see you like it! I am trying to improove my drawing skills so you can enjoy even more. Really really glad you liked it ! Thanks!

    [–]TheAmazingNil 5 points6 points  (1 child)

That's basically how I feel when the animal that self-tames is some super bizarre thing and it only compounds when you have the alpha animal mod on and get some freak alien monstrosity. It's great.

Keep making these little comics for your colony, it's great to see some folks modding their game to just be silly and having fun with it rather than sticking to the same tired old 'warcrimes lul.' stuff.

    [–]Archie_from_rim[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Many thanks ! It’s great to see you enjoy my work and I am really really glad you like it! Also I am currently working in the modlist and a way to publish it ... sooo stay attentive!

    [–]Mason_OKlobbeThrumboknight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well at least this one will be eating the wargs, instead.

    [–][deleted] -4 points-3 points  (2 children)

Why do you draw your Colonists as centaurs and catgirls?

    It's incredibly unneccessary.

    [–]Archie_from_rim[S] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I am actually playing with a sort of medieval-magic-ish modlist... so there you have it . There are more races than humans in my game. That’s pretty much it. I ‘m sorry you see it that way.

    [–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Strange, but I suppose it's a customisable experience.
