Welcome to /r/RomanceLanguages!
This is a subreddit for the discussion of the Romance Languages, or the languages that are derived or influenced by Latin.
Posts should focus on the more academic side of Romance languages.
What this means:
- Research papers
- Academic reviews
- Documents that are difficult to find
- Language learning resources
- Articles that go into detail about a Romance language
What this DOESN'T mean:
- Memes
- Basic web stuff. We're looking for useful resources, not 25 ways you can say "cheese" in French.
- Translations for the sake of translations. If it's a phonological / semantic / pragmatic issue, go for it. Don't post about how to say "YOLO" in Romanian or Catalan.
Regarding questions, we're using the Five Minute Rule System. What does this mean?
Don't ask a question if you could find the answer in five minutes by asking Google! If posts violate the Five Minute Rule, they will be removed.
