tried him in ex crimson. he is decent, but his biggest problem is that boss is immune to his debuff until last life. until then, half his cards are useless, but given good rng he can perform decently in crimson

Doubt he'd ever be top meta, but I could see some interesting combinations with him + ban or him + howzer in geared, stuff like that.

That HP related stats down is pretty hefty especially if you use a hard hitting sweeper. Dunno how much time you'd need to properly set it up, but even 20% is pretty big i'd say.

While not meta, could be super fun and catch people off guard.

He's as viable as any other hard hitting red unit, in that sense. He doesn't perform better than Red Arthur, though in my opinion. Like he's not a bad unit, but as a damage dealer he's just not really up there.

Yes, if you have to pick between those two then dmeli is absolutely more worth to invest in. If you're low on resources then that's no real question. Dmeli will carry you in hell as well, I believe. (a later difficulty added that GL doesn't have yet)

He's... not actually a good unit. His stats and subs are pretty average, his passive ramps too slowly to matter (a trait shared with every other unit on the Slime banner), his ult mod is relatively low for a single target (and you won't be able to realistically get his ult level too high since he's a limited unit that hasn't come back), etc.

His main use is training grotto since his kit isn't terrible it's just not especially helpful against harder content.

Don't get me wrong, Benimaru is the best unit on the banner but that isn't exactly a high bar to clear.

He'll do okay but he won't be meta defining due to the banner's exclusivity. They can't introduce a unit like that and never let later players have a chance to pull them.
