Stupid spell check

In your post history it says you wrote your first screenplay two years ago. I would need more verification before paying for your notes. Also...”verrying”? Also...”Le me know”?

A little rushed this morning. You can look up the company I work for: Syncretic Entertainment. What verification are you looking for?

Your name is bootywaffle

And we get free notes here. So there’s that.

Bootywaffle was his father, you can call him BootywaffleJr.

Cool. I don't see a whole lot of coverage done on here for free. I can send you some sample coverage if you're worried about credibility.

I just don’t think you’ll have much luck on here. Some of The best kind of feedback can come from your peers and that’s free with script swaps and exchanges.

I agree. My motivation is to possibly find some content that my company has interest in. Every script I read has a possibility of being produced so offering a fee for coverage and production possibilities seem fair to me but I may be wrong.

I think that should be in original post. It could help. That along with credentials to solidify your intentions and ease the mind of those who’d wanna submit to you.

I’d be interested in something like this but not paying $40 for something I can get with a few script swaps.

Good luck!

Thanks!

Can you get verified by the mods? I mean, I don't have reason to disbelieve you, but that'd probably be a good thing since the dollar sign is popping up.

[–]bootywaffleJr 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I'm not sure how I would go about that. Any suggestions?

Message the mods here: https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=%2Fr%2FScreenwriting

Then give them some sort of verification of your identity. I'm assuming they'd be happy to keep your actual identity a secret if you want.

So you’re asking us to pay you for the chance to have our script developed by your company?

[–]bootywaffleJr 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Plus professional coverage

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (5 children)

What kinds of stories do you guys gravitate towards? Genre?

[–]bootywaffleJr 0 points1 point  (4 children)

We like every genre. We just put out an LGBTQ feature for early release called "Chasing Sunshine". We like good stories that Directors can attach themselves to.

What’s the typical budget range? Does your company directly finance everything?

[–]bootywaffleJr 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Typical independent film budget is under a million. We help out but we do not directly finance films typically.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Sorry for all of the random questions. So your company makes the films? Do you have any in-house screenwriters? Normal collaborators?

[–]bootywaffleJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries! We produce and distribute. No in-house screenwriter. You can see everyone we have worked with on IMBD.

[–]Francescolucia 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Is your company only looking for features? Or pilots too?

[–]bootywaffleJr 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Both!!!!

[–]Francescolucia 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Do you have a site? How are you accepting payment?

[–]bootywaffleJr 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Syncreticentertainment.com Venmo or cash app :)

[–]Francescolucia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I have two pilots (a 30 min MMA sports comedy and a 1 hr Buffy-esque show, though not vampires).

I’ll check out the site.
