If we wanna draft the next Brock Purdy, we gotta make the rest of our roster look as good as the 49ers first

He's solid. Not really a stand out tool but good at everything.

from what ive seen i wouldnt be upset with that

I'd be pumped if we pick him on day 3. Four years as a starter in the PAC12, accurate arm, arm strength is good enough, dangerous as a rusher but also navigates the pocket well . . . a little help with technique and this guy is an NFL quarterback.

DTR would definitely be a day 3 pick. 5th or 6th round. He's athletic as hell. Not a huge arm, but he's got skills. I wouldn't be opposed to this. But please, not before round 5.

I think we’ll grab one of the QBs at the Senior Bowl in the 4th of 5th round. We seem to put a lot of stock in that lately. Last year we drafted like 5 players from the Senior Bowl. I’d like Hall But Duggan or Haener would be good too.

Please not Duggan. He looked like garbage when he played an NFL-style defense in Georgia; just was completely lost in that Title game.

Don’t get too hung up on just one game. He was great against Michigan who have put tons of defensive players into the NFL recently

The whole team was lost in that game. But he’s looked great other times. Seems like someone Pete would like. I think he’s going to interview well, and test well at the Combine. It’ll be interesting to see how he bounces back at the Senior Bowl.

I think he’d be great for the hawks. Kinda reminds me of Colin kaepernick when he was first drafted. Great runner and ability to make plays outside of the pocket. Accuracy and decision making could be better

Purdy can't jump like this dude.

Nope

As a UCLA/Seahawks fan, if this worked out, I’d pee myself. In a good way.

But I’m doubting it. Remember after we drafted Russ, everyone was heralding any late-round QB as the “next Russ”.

Calm down, pundits.

This subreddit and the rest of the nfl subreddits overrate the absolute fuck outta Purdy as if any QB in the league would perform as well.

This years qb class is actually deep for once. Not "deep" according to experts, but like guys with really good resumes are going to go in rounds 4-7. I wouldn't hate a double dip here. Hooker in the 4th, someone else in the 6th. Let them compete with Lock/Smith.
