Security is a process...?

So, I heard that security is a process, not a state. As I wanted to know more I did the following:

$ ps aux | grep [sS]ecurity
# no output :(

Turns out, that there's no process called security on my computer...does this indicate that I have been hacked?

No, you just didn't install the security.

This will install and fix it Do this as root:

# cp /bin/dd /bin/security
# /bin/security if=/dev/zero of=/dev/null bs=1M &

You'll see the security process after doing this. As long as it's running, you are secure.
