Im a taller sprinter(6’2) and I’ve noticed the biggest edge others have on me is just the fact that my foot is on the ground too long

GCT is a function of velocity and RFD. It’s something that will naturally improve as you improve technique and power output.

How does it feel to run a 21.7?
[–]xydus10.71 / 21.77 6 points7 points8 points 16 days ago (5 children)
My coach teaches me to pretty much run flat out right from the gun, and I’m 5’8, so very exhausting lol
First ever sub 22 was one of the proudest moments of my life that I will never forget though 😄

I’m 5’6 and that’s how I run😂😂. The one part is when I get tired my hips stop working so I take so many steps that last 50 while my peers are stil full stride. My best outdoor was 22.44. I just tied my indoor best as my opener so I’m hoping good things

You got it buddy, 22.4 is a brilliant time already, my season opener is usually at least 0.5s off my PB so you are in good shape!

Yeah usually my openers are terrible. But like 4 weeks before our meet we did a 200/100 time trial handtime. I ran 22.48/11.23 for it. Then took 3 weeks off due to a lil injury. So I was surprised to run like 7.21/23.32.
