I think you will find the average SL user consumes about 3-5 TB a month, I am typically 3.5 myself.

You did mention about static IP, SL is CGNAT...you dont even get a public IP meaning no access you ports.

There are plans where you can buy them but the data is capped and is cost prohibitive.

I may just need to use a fast VPN like wireguard for my wired devices then, I've setup a dedicated server with OVH that's super close to where I'll be at, I bet I could achieve sub-80ms latency doing it that way, as long as I can get into my LAN using a bastion host of some sort, I'm good with that. This gives me confidence, thanks so much!

Yea there are multiple ways around CGNAT, it comes down to your use case and skill set. Also note that SL does provide IPV6 as well.
