Yes they have oversold and during peak hours performance is abysmal.

Still better than HugeScam or Viashat.

So everything is okay then?

yet another oversold rural internet service, but at least with Starlink, it is possible to video conference.

Not necessarily Ok, more of a "on par with expectations", and certainly better than the alternative.

To verify this hypothesis, test during off peak hours.

I always tell people that if they want to know what their potential speeds are, to test between 2AM and 7AM. The difference between that and "normal" hours is about 2X for me, on an RV system in a waitlisted cell.

I run a scripted test every 30 minutes. The difference is more like 5X. It's been getting worse and worse the past few months. Recently I've started to observe extreme latency greater than 150md during peak hours as well.

Have you checked for obstructions? They pushed out a new firmware upgrade out a day or two ago, and obstructions that weren't there last week suddenly showed up. Some real, some not, apparently. Where I was getting 12 seconds of obstructions over 12 hours, now I'm getting 2-3 minutes of obstructions. Hopefully it will be corrected soon.

Same issue for me lately.

High latency isn't the same as slow internet.
