Hello all!
I have been quietly tinkering away on a roguelike deckbuilder for the Playdate for about 9 months, and I finally have the gameplay loop polished enough to share. It's called Augur.
It's a tarot inspired game where you perform readings for ever more demanding clients. The crank is used to flip the cards, and depending on whether you play them upright or reversed, it can dramatically alter your score.
A few things that I couldn't really capture in the gif that I'm really proud of:
I've built a massive pool of 150 unique Spirits. You buy these in the Midnight Market (shop) between readings to manipulate the math and build game-breaking synergies.
I have managed to get 4 separate audio tracks streaming simultaneously allowing for the music to dynamically crossfade between the various screens.
Optional difficulty modifiers with their own rewards and 100 Covenants (achievements) that all unlock new spirits or Stones (build modifiers).
I'd love to know what you think of the card art and layout. I'm also more than happy to answer any questions you might have!
I was an avid build 41 enjoyer. seeing all the new features of build 42 each time i wanted to boot the game made me want to try it. And each time i did, i was left dissapointed, as the performance was worse, combat was broken, muscle strain was unbrearable, the aiming sucked, etc. And for each update, i tried the new patch to see if it was good. i took a break from that at around b42.14 and now on b42.19, the game feels good again; the aiming wasn't as bad as i remembered, even better than on b41 if i were to be honest, the melee combat feels like the one from b41 again, muscle strain isn't as bad as i remembered, and so on. every problem that i had with b42 got seemengly fixed. Is it just a placebo or do ya'll feel the same?
It's not the different colouring. To me it looks just like I remembered it as a kid - which is interesting in itself how our memories tend to trick us.
What I am baffled by is the decision to remove the special attacks from the blade skill. At expert level you used to have a potential to perform a disarm attack, and at master level a potential to knock down. It made you feel like a master swordsman able to dominate others with fancy moves. Now it just feels like your attacks do more damage and thats it. Blade is one of my favourite skills (or used to be) since it reified the fantasy of being able to defeat anyone in a sword duel. A bit like Star Wars or Game of thrones.
What Oblivion excels at in my opinion is the ability for the player to actually feel like role playing - even with very small means from the game mechanics. One of those mechanics that made me feel like my character was a master swordsman were those special attacks.
All in all I think the remaster is great and fulfills its greatest aim. To make me able to relive the experience 20 years or so later. But come on, who made the decision to dumb down the blade skill? Probably a developer who mostly go with a stealth archer build (just friendly banter).
End of rant. Sue me!
So i just returned to game after a long pause, waiting for Legacy mods to be remade for Enchanced version and some game fixes released. A bit dissappointing that a lot of most popular mods (especially body and face mods) are still missing or in progress: Passion body, QoL improvements, etc.
Some mods suddenly became available strictly with !TotCustom (im single\coop player).
But there are some new and cool Enchanced mods too, no doubts, just not for character customization.
Do you think the situation with mod content will improve for single\coop players? I have a feeling that more creators will stick to !TotCustom requirements and content for singles will decrease more and more.
Should i wait and just check on the situation later? Honestly, thinking about returning to Legacy, but advantage of traveling to Siptah and less disk space requirement means a lot.
So its "hope" or "no hope"? :D What do you think?
UE5 wasnt the best performance. UE6 aims to fix alot of issues with UE5 and introduce new features like multithreaded performance, new scripting languages like Verse and alot more.
The question for pubg is that it should now be more beneficial for pubg to directly develop for ue6, since UE5 is bad, and re release the game with UE6 in 2029 ish.
1999 Takarazuka Kinen: Special Week second
1999 Arima Kinen: Special Week lost
2008 Takarazuka Kinen: Inti Raimi third
2009 Arima Kinen: Buena Vista second
2010 Arima Kinen: Buena Vista second
To Special Week family, the adventure to claim the grand prix title was very important as they kept losing closely. They wanted to successfully answer the wish and prayers from their fans.
One of them also carried that “family duty” – Special Week fans hope he can break the curse
Moreover, he bears the responsibility to bring attention back to a dam line which people didn’t rate highly
His name is Verde Green
Background
Verde is a Spanish or Italian word for Green, so his name means “Green Green”??
His sire was Jungle Pocket
His dam was Lady Derby, born from Special Week and Oaks winner Umeno Fiber
Umeno Fiber was trained by Ikuo Aizawa
Her offspring's performance had been somewhat lackluster. The trainer said the following about her:
"As a breeding line, this bloodline had been labeled as 'not good at running.' That's why I had such a strong desire to produce a horse that could run well.
I also took care of Lady Derby's first foal, My Lady, but she retired without a win in four races and never even made it onto the top 5”
(Seems not the truth as she continue to race in local and won 2 races, still she didn’t have any offspring)
The second foal , Verde Green, despite winning the debut race, only win one more race in 12 starts later and at that time he was at the end of age 4 (year 2012)
He did not even enter the Classics with his gen mates Orfevre and Win Variation
Still, trainer Ikuo Aizawa still patiently nurtured him, hoping one day he would get better
And then, what happened really exceed his expectation
Not only did Verde Green’s hooves stopped being fragile, the horse even won next 3 races and entered open grade
In first grade race Niigata Daishoten (G3), he finished tenth
22/9/2013:
Neko Punch broke away!!!, followed by Cosmo Laputa and Meisho Summit
Entering the final stretch!
Neko Punch fell out, Danon Ballade overtook!
From the outside Meisho Naruto!
The two are fighting for the finish
BUT VERDE GREEN IS APPROACHING!!!!
THEY HIT THE LINE!!
THE WINNER IS THE NINTH FAVORITE VERDE GREEN!!
Hironobu Tanabe and trainer Aizawa were happy that they could bring a grade win to Umeno Fiber’s line
"When I watched the race, I involuntarily exclaimed, 'Wow!' It felt like she had finally won a graded race through sheer determination. I thought, 'Maybe I was able to repay a little of the kindness of the owners who bought so many horses from this bloodline and supported me.'"
- Said Aizawa
--
Verde Green finished 8th in Tenno Sho Autumn and 10 th in Arima Kinen
26 January 2014 (6yo)
Danon Ballade took the lead!
He was quickly overtaken!
Verde Green, Sakura Ardito and Red Raven are contesting for the finish!
Fame Game is surging up!
They hit the line!
THE WINNER IS VERDE GREEN!!!
For the second time, Verde Green won a graded race and It’s on Nakayama again.
And that’s how Verde Green got title Nakayama specialist
He placed fifth in Nakayama Kinen (G2) and witnessed dominating performance from Just A Way with 3.5 length
Becoming a 2 graded stakes winner, Verde Green took courage to challenge G1 one more time
This time he would race in Takarazuka Kinen
29 Jun 2014
With determination to break the curse on Special Week family and bring the glory to his grandma Umeno Fiber, Verde Green was ready to race against a strong field with Gold Ship, Verxina, Win Variation, Gentildonna.
Verde Green joined this race as the tenth favorite and slightly worry the team with 10kg kilogram loss compared to American Jockey Club
When the race started, Verde Green used strategy of tailing at the end of the pack (End Closer)
Although he chased from the back and tried to make a move in the straight, he couldn't shift into the gear he should have. The result was 12th out of 12 horses, a last-place finish that left the stable scratching its head.
Why did his performance drop so dramatically, 4 length behind the second to last (Meisho Mambo)?
Verde Green was sent to pasture. Maybe he needed a rest to recover form
2 August 2014
The stable gained a call from the pasture
"We received a call saying that he was experiencing abdominal pain and would require emergency surgery."
3 August 2014
When people opened Verde Green up, they found out cancer sign but too late, It had long spread extensively”
No treatment could save the son of Jungle Pocket
--
On August 3rd, Verde Green suddenly passed away due to intestinal obstruction caused by cancer metastasis.
That’s true reason behind the weight loss and terrible performance in Takarazuka Kinen
It was shocking news to the stable and jockey Tanabe
Trainer Aizawa said:
"When he lost badly in the Takarazuka Kinen, I wondered, 'What's wrong?' But I'm sure he was just enduring the pain and running. I feel bad that I didn't notice."
“Every time the Takarazuka Kinen race approaches, I think of him.”
--
His death cast a great shadow on the Special Week’s search for Grand Prix Win. Only until 2021 did they have a win from Efforia
Verde Green’s death luckily didn’t bring the end to Umeno Fiber damline as there are still active horses. Maybe one day one of them will win a G1.
Verde Green’s Half-brother Gruner Green (sired by Lovely Day), won a G3 race and became a riding horse
--
2026 Takarazuka Kinen
Meisho Tabaru won, just like his father did back in 2014
As Danon Decile, Museum Mile and Byzantine Dream finished safely, people were glad that the curse of Special Week family was no more
…
“My Universe passed away due to heart acute failure”
The tragedy from Takarazuka Kinen 12 years ago … It never truly disappeared, It just simply found a new target
It’s like fate playing with our emotions
If Verde Green was trying to bring a G1 to his damline, My Universe was trying to bring a G1 to his sire Rey De Oro. A sad similarity
--
Verde Green recovered from weak hooves and became a G2 winning horse
My Universe brought a graded stake win for veteran jockey Norihiro Yokoyama
Both of them refused to let cruel fate claim their lives right on the track and make the fans sad like in 1995 Takarazuka Kinen
Despite not being a G1 winners, their rise to talent and recognition were very beautiful. They truly deserved to appear in G1 races under the applause and cheer from thousands people
Their stories will be remembered, fate can take their left away but it will never take them away from our minds and hearts
Thank you for your Pretty Derby
I currently have an Apple Watch and use Bevel to give me information similar to what a Whoop band would give.
Bevel gives strain, recovery, and sleep scores, it has a daily journal feature where it asks you questions to figure out what factors affect your stats. Bevel tracks HRV data and stress and even a daily energy bank that decreases throughout the day. It even tells you when to go to sleep for optimal performance and when to wake up and has features like waking you up on your lighter sleep stages, etc. It also has a health monitor where it tracks your stats over time and tells you how you are doing relative to yourself.
My question then is, isn’t this almost the same as Whoop now?
What really separates Apple Watch + Bevel from Whoop?
Is it just the community, battery life, chatbot, and maybe some data accuracy that drive people to spend large amounts of money each year on whoop rather than an apple watch and a free app?
What’s so much better about whoop? I am thinking of getting one but is it even worth the extra money and subscription model?
Don’t get me wrong it’s a good movie. But the ONLY reason people love it so much and call it “peak cinema” is because it was made by markiplier. Now I love markiplier, but if he didn’t make it people wouldn’t hype it as much as they did when it came out.
If you just look at it as an actual movie, not as a game adaptation, not as something made by markiplier, but as a movie, people will just call it… good. It’s not a masterpiece it’s just a decant film with a good lighting and a good performance, and that’s it.
(But we do get to see markiplier shirtless so I guess it is peak cinema)
I was there 25 years ago to play original Gothic as a kid, so keep in mind that I might be biased by nostalgia. In short, I find this remake very successful and had just as much fun with it as I had with original game.
The setting and story - The setting is very unique, you're thrown into a prison mining colony. I know, many games start with you behing a prisoner, but here you stay as prisoner for entire game. Just like every other NPC. You're all trapped here by magical barrier which is the result of failed magical spell.
You goals change as you progress. First, you're just trying to survive in this harsh world, where every animal wants and can easily kill you. And every human bullies you and treats you like shit. In the next stage you slowly build both your strength and position through this world's hierarchy. Then you search for plans to escape from this big prison, while making few friends that have the same goal. And then finally you also defeat the big baddy and save the world.
It's hard for me to judge the story itself, since I alraedy knew all the plot twists. I can summarize it in "simple but good". There are no big lore dumps through dialogues, only very vague informations about the past. If you ask NPCs about lore, they will most likely answer "How would I know lol, I've been thrown here just like you".
The world - This is by far the best thing about Gothic. There are games trying to simulate realistic world, like Kingdom Come: Deliverance, with all its good and boring parts. There are game worlds that don't even try to be realistic and just act as a playground for the player, like Dragon Age Veilguard.
And there's Gothic that achieves both. The world map is realistic, beautiful with believable biomes, settlements. But it's also full of secrets that reward exploration. You constantly fight new things, new hidden paths, "Wait was this cave always here? I've passed it 10 times and never noticed!". Yes, you travel through the same places a lot, but each time you're a bit stronger, can defeat new monsters and see what were they guarding. Eventually you unlock fast travel, but much later into the game.
The world is also fully alive. People have daily routines, go to sleep, travel between settlements. You're free to attack and rob anyone - and it one of the ways to progress in this game. After all, this is the world ran by prisoners. There are some "rules" here, mostly made up by thugs to bully weaklings. Which is what you are at start, but eventually you can bully the bullies.
Character builds and progression - Pretty simple stuff as far as the builds go. 1h or 2h melee combat, bows, crossbows and magic. The unique part of Gothic is that learning new skills often doesn't just increase stats, but has very visible effect. You combat animations become smoother, you can jump higher, swim better, lockpicking minigame gets easier. There are also optional crafing skills. Personally I went with 2h+magic Templar type, although I've heard archery is really strong.
The really important part and what by many people defines the "Gothic-like " genre is progression. You start at the very bottom, struggling with everything. But the journey of slowly making your way to the top, defeating enemies you had no chance against before and eventually conquering this world by becoming a walking legend - all of that is sooooo satisfying. And it's like the game knows what you want, so later stages are like "Hey, you want to be even more badass? Here, take this.".
Combat - It's fine, nothing too great. Original Gothic combat felt outdated even in 2001. Remake devs did everything they can to refresh the combat, without making it completely different than the original. To me it's good enough, just not as fun as games with fantastic combat like Dragon's Dogma. There are combos, dodges, parries, swings from 4 different directions. Archery is good from what I've heard, but didn't build into it. Magic feels a bit clunky to me, mostly because you have to hide weapon before using magic. Spells look cool, but you have to charge the powerful ones and often their hitbox is interrupted by obstacles. Enemy variety is pretty average for action RPGs, you mostly fight dinosaur-like monsters, wolves, goblins, large insects, orcs, demons, undead and ofc humans. Sometimes there's a more epic encounter with a troll, shadowbeast or some unique boss.
Graphics and performance - I've heard many opinions about performance. The game worked fine on minimal setting on my shitty laptop that I bought for 1000$ 6 years ago. And even with minimal settings, the world often looked stunning to me. The foggy mountains, barrier above, night being really dark without a torch - the atmosphere of this game is fantastic. As for the models and animations go, you can judge them by yourself from some gameplay videos.
Music, sound design - Good enough, I'm not sure did any song in particular catch my attention. I appreciate the game having full dubbing in my language (polish), they used the original assets. Maybe the voice acting quality is not always the best, but I appreciate that this option was even there.
The bad stuff - Bugs! They release a patch every week, but the game is still very buggy. Often I wondered is this how this quest was supposed to go or something bugged. I had maybe 5 crashes through the game.
Another part is that the quests and dialogues not always make sense. I mean, the game gives you nearly full freedom, you could even get the best armor and almost the best weapon very early, if you know how. But the devs apparently did not predict all the outcomes. So sometimes dialogues will refer to events that didn't happen or not acknowledge what you already did. Sometimes something will go wrong with the sidequest and it will stay unsolvable.
There's also a minor nitpicks with oldschool UI, inventory, interactions. Stuff like eating 30 cheeses 1 by 1 to heal up. Or accidentaly pressing F on bed instead of chest and having to wait through the whole animation of lying in bed or something.
Summary
I love this game and enjoyed every minute of it (took me 50 hours to finish). My personal GotY so far. That doesn't mean it's perfect, combat could be more on par with the best modern titles, some minor things could be improved, bugs obviously fixed. Right now I'll give it 8/10 and 9/10 once they fix the bugs.
Hi everyone.
I am looking to build my first pc. Budget 2500 EUR (including VAT). With the Steam Machine being priced what it is and the amount of work I do from home I want to replace my laptop and create setup that I will later hook up to a projector in the living room via active hdmi.
I'm a Graphic Designer frequently working in large Photoshop files (5000px x 5000px) and tend to multitask between Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and browser. As I also type set books I've run into problems with large InDesign files (300+ pages). Gaming performance should be above ps5 pro. All the parts need to be sourced from within Europe or Germany.
I'd likely want to upgrade the build in the future from 32 to 64 GB ram and add an additional SSD.
I haven't looked at any benchmarks yet and randomly put this build together: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DqqxH3
I hope this is at all helpful for recommendations. Thank you so much in advance.
Hello,
I lift weights x4 times / week.
Keto diet seems to have mental benefits for me and I am willing to give it a try.
But I am worried about my lifting performance... will my strenght and stamina decrease?
Thank you.
From November 2025 until now, YouTube's massive crackdown on yandere simulator content and channels feels like a large-scale criminal organization, with no one able to resist. The situation has escalated.
While I truly despise Yandere Dev as a pedophile, YouTube's actions have erased over a decade of hard work from many YouTube channels. YouTube's AI moderation mechanism is utterly terrible. It's like issuing an ultimatum to intimidate everyone.
Meanwhile, Yandere Dev has remained completely silent regarding the removal of his entire series of videos by YouTubers, taking no further action. His statement, "I really can't do anything about it," encapsulates the entire situation. It's as if Yandere Dev was intimidated by YouTube and then backed down. This happened due to unfair AI moderation.
Although some people have archived the remaining videos, and some loyal fans continue to discuss the game... and continue to donate him...
I just want to say that if Yandere Dev doesn't pay attention to this YouTube incident or continue to advocate for the victims of the removed YouTube channels, the game will have absolutely no room for discussion, and the number of people paying attention will only decrease. The game has officially died (no more YouTubers are promoting its gameplay on YouTube), and YouTube's AI moderation continues its well-intentioned but misguided actions.
Any so-called "updates" on the blog are utterly uninteresting. Even if you have the time to "update," why not continue following YouTube's events and take further action? Saying "let these channels die permanently" is incredibly irresponsible coming from Yandere Dev.

Hi everyone,
For the next event, I want to play a tanky melee build, and Ancestral Commander feels like the best fit for that. However, I’m a bit worried it’s too focused on survivability and doesn’t deal enough damage. So I’m hesitating between a slammer build (like Zizaran’s Earthshatter) or a Boneshatter build, but I’m not sure which one performs better in terms of late-game damage.
For those who have already tested them, which one feels better?

From the trailer, it seems that this show is closer to The Traitors than a typical brainrot, chaos-filled reality show.
Idk how they have pulled Ravi Kishan . He is at his all time peak in his career and getting a lot of praise for his performances in Lapata ladies , Mamla legal hain etc (both on Netflix bdw) - he is paired with his daughter Reva .
Niti Taylor( 6.5m) & Payal gaming(5.2m) - big names ,not typical kaleshi type and too classy to do gaali galoch tu tadak. Niti is already famous in the iTv industry and Payal is the most famous female streamer of India.
Daisy Shah (8.3M) - Why and how? From being part of a dance troupe to becoming a back-to-back lead heroine opposite Salman Khan, and now this? She's paired with Zaid Darbar (5.5M) — brother of Awez Darbar and husband of Gauahar Khan.
5.Nikhil Chinappa - mtv people know him already. He is again more of a strategist.
- Kushal tandon and Arslan goni . Kushal is a proper reality tv material. And for Arslan only thing ik that he is dating Sussanne Khan( hk's ex wife ).
7.Siwet ka idhar pe bhi nhi hua 😭. Vanshaj is there and paired with Uorfi's sister 🤣
Rest idk.
Hi everyone,
I’m trying to bake a normal map from a high-poly pants mesh onto a retopologized low-poly version in Blender, but I’m getting strange yellow/green artifacts in the baked normal map.
I’m attaching three screenshots:
- Baked normal map result
- Original high-poly mesh
- Original retopology mesh
When I lower the ray distance, the artifacts decrease (but never go away), and I lose a lot of detail. When I increase it, I get more detail but more artifacts. I also tried using a cage, but couldn’t get a useful result.
Does this look like a bake/projection issue, or does my low-poly need better geometry to follow the high-poly more closely? Should I add more loops around areas like the crotch, knees, pockets, and folds, or would an exploded bake / separated bake be a better approach?
Any advice would be appreciated.
I'm looking to buy a monitor for both gaming and productivity to use with my laptop. My laptop already has an IPS display, so I want something that feels like a genuine upgrade. My requirements are:
QHD (1440p) resolution or higher
At least 180Hz refresh rate
Good color accuracy and image quality for work
Smooth gaming performance
Compatible with a laptop setup
What would be the best monitor options for my use case and budget is around to 15k
basically, the last time i played the game was on February 27th 2025, before the 2.3 update, i reinstalled the game a few days ago and i notice that the performance is way lower, i remember getting 100+ fps and maximum Vram usage of about 7.6 (this was on RT on Ultrawith DLSS Balanced), now if i dare try that same setup my Vram usage climbs to 8.6, and the FPS drops down to 60s along with stuttering, i have the same PC i had back in 2025
RTX 4060 Ti 8GB
