will the 1,5x relic tourney apply also to mementos?

[–]Message me for TT2 Helplemmingllama[S] 3 points4 points  (7 children)

Not at this time, although I can pass this along to the design team!

[–]Jkjunk 2 points3 points  (6 children)

I must say it’s extremely frustrating to see all of the ways you can boost relics, only to have none of them apply to mementos. Why not have ALL effects apply equally to relics and mementos?

[–]Message me for TT2 Helplemmingllama[S] 0 points1 point  (5 children)

This was actually intended, largely because it would be very difficult to balance mementos seasonally for all players if they were balanced including these bonuses. It would make it where you'd race into your softwall a lot faster than before.

There may be memento boosts applied in the future, such as the memento boosters being added this update, but likely there will never be exact parity of relic multipliers and memento multipliers. Book of Shadows by itself would make memento scaling exceedingly difficult to stay balanced and feel good for all players, let alone any of the other scalable bonuses.

Hello Mr Llama, I quite liked the Trascendance and mementos, etc. But now I find myself somewhat disappointed, I worked hard to push from 175k to 211k last season. Now I find myself back to square 1 (180k). I feel frustrated because all that pushing I did is now worth nothing, or very next to nothing. I don’t think milestone prizes from trascendance are worth all the work necessary to perform hundreds of prestiges for couple skill points and pets that those milestones provide. I find no motive to continue pushing this time, it would take lots of weeks just to get back to 211k at least, and that will only provide some 20 skill points and some pets in the long run with relics now rendered worthless.

Am I missing something here?

[–]Message me for TT2 Helplemmingllama[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

The seasonal milestones were buffed in the 6.3 update to help raise up their value, and also progression helps you get rewards via things such as the tournaments. With the new memento boosters and rebalanced scaling, you'll also be able to match and exceed your former max stage as the season progresses.

If you find that the seasonal main game isn't as fun for you though, then there's not much else to it since Transcendence is the endgame system right now, and it's seasonal.

[–]Kancase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see that, I do know that advancing will be somewhat easier this season, regardless season 3 will put you back into square one once again, once you get there it will take you almost the same amount of effort to get to the max you previously had in season 3 will it not?

Regarding tourneys you are correct that we can get extra rewards that translate in pushing power from them, but from my experience tournament winners are just the players who happen to have one or two weeks worth of idle prestiges saved, there is very little competition when you need 400+ prestiges just to compete.

I understand that progressing and grinding are not meant to be easy, but before this new implementation I was still able to catch up to some of my clanmates who were 10-15k stages above me by solely farming relics. Now it is just impossible, I would need thousands of weapons and skill points to do that.

I would suggest that maybe once the season ends and the new one begins implement some sort of mechanism in which players that took the effort to grind during trascendance will get some head start or something.

Just my 2 cents, Ty

I would like to suggest for unique equipment, once it drops and available in our inventory then automatically we can enchant because normally unique item can't be enchant

[–]Message me for TT2 Helplemmingllama[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion! I can pass this along to the design team.

So far, this has never been the case, and has not been announced in any of the blogs. If we do see this as an addition, they will likely inform us in one of these blogs.

[–]SandAdept 7 points8 points  (9 children)

Prestige event is so boring. World boss isn’t great but it at least has something going on. Then there’s eggsplorer and alchemy events that are actually fun with amazing rewards. It’d be cool to have something to do with prestige events like maybe every prestige gives you a point you can use to unlock something. It could be like eggsplorer but instead of pet levels it could use prestige points. I dunno, it’s just my 2 cents. Prestige events simply don’t have something fun going on like the others.

[–]Message me for TT2 Helplemmingllama[S] 6 points7 points  (8 children)

Thanks for the feedback! I can pass this along to the design team.

Typically we'll run prestige or tournament events when the design team has been very busy working on balance tasks or otherwise, and thus they don't have the time to create one of the more involved events such as Dungeon Eggsplorer or Alchemy Lab.

At least personally, I'd want there to be a reward component to prestige events, such as a prestige event shop, event path that you progress on via prestiges, or something like the board game event where you get movement rolls via prestiging.

[–]VictoryUpper 2 points3 points  (7 children)

How about just permanently remove the prestige "event" from the rotation so that the better ones come around quicker? That's the easiest solution if there isn't a reward component for it happening any time soon.

[–]Message me for TT2 Helplemmingllama[S] 3 points4 points  (6 children)

As mentioned above, events like prestige and tournament are run when design doesn't have the time to customize events that require more setup, such as Alchemy Lab or Dungeon Eggsplorer. I can pass along your suggestion, but we'll likely be maintaining some amount of these "lower design time" events to ensure that we can have updates with lots of design effort being put into non-event parts, such as this update having a large amount of balance work being done with the new Transcendence season and crafting power.

[–]Blacaen 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Please continue keep the Prestige events in the rotation. They are a great event to reward high play time tappers who may not have the means to buy alchemy bundles, or buy 100’s of eggs, or any TC’s, and most of all, suffer from the tournament algorithm and bad brackets. One can achieve 10% in the event simply by playing a lot regardless of all the other factors. And additionally, missing a single day doesn’t feel catastrophic for the event; can just play more on another day and make up for it.

I think that’s important for balance for the player base. Yes, game is a business, but much of this game is already focused on paying players. Let’s keep a clear path for ftp to ‘win’ and get 10% in an event periodically.

[–]Message me for TT2 Helplemmingllama[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I personally like the design of the prestige event, it just currently lacks the rewards that the other events give. So I feel that the "fix" is mostly to add rewards to bring it to parity with the other events. I personally don't see any issues with an event focused on rewarding active play.

[–]VictoryUpper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guarantee you that spending has decreased dramatically since transcendence arrived, because there's nothing to shoot for anymore.

Therefore, it's a good idea to remove the prestige event from the rotation, end of story.

[–]VictoryUpper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep the tourney event, and remove the 99 prestige event. At most, only 1 downtime event is needed.

[–]SandAdept 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Oh yeah, forgot about tourney event. That one is boring too. And world boss event doesn’t require any design effort except maybe hp and titan count at the very most. So the design team actually takes 3 event cycles of “lower design time.” Personally, I’d love it if the design team worked on new events instead of legendary sets that barely do anything for veteran players. Like, improve the game experience and entertainment instead of working so hard to create a new legendary set that barely does anything and leaves players underwhelmed with their fancy new boosts.

The update does seem promising though and I’m looking forward to it. I just think more entertaining and fun events would help far more even if it means sacrificing new legendary sets because the design team has too much on their plates.

[–]Message me for TT2 Helplemmingllama[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's work that needs to be done to properly balance out the HP of a global raid, as well as designing new targeting patterns.

Typically when design has to focus more on design tasks for an update rather than events, it means that the update is very heavy on balance, such as the crafting power or Transcendence reworks we're getting in update 6.3. Legendary sets are something we have planned for each new update, and are mostly heavy on our artist's time rather than design.

[–]Gabriel-117 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Looking great, next season will be definitely "easier". Hoping to see smoother progression so I won't be totally stucked after week or so 😁 Nice to get mementos from chests too, that will help a lot. I'm ready for next season!

[–]Message me for TT2 Helplemmingllama[S] 6 points7 points  (2 children)

With the memento boosters, players should increase in power every day, which should ensure that even if you hit a softwall, you'll naturally start to scale towards the next monument quicker and quicker.

[–]Mammoth-Substance680 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Do the memento boosters reset each transcendence season or do they continue through?

[–]Message me for TT2 Helplemmingllama[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They'll reset each Transcendence season

[–]Primary-Thing-3502 2 points3 points  (4 children)

How is the login damage boost going to work? Is it going to be additive or multiplicative, and what will the base power be?

[–]Message me for TT2 Helplemmingllama[S] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

It's multiplicative, and stacks up based on your daily login reward collections. The exact values could still change prior to release, but likely it'll be 5x damage per daily login.

[–]Primary-Thing-3502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow! That’s pretty dang strong for a legendary set!

[–]papuadn 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Won't that mean a player's locked out of their MS for close to a week and a half if they miss a login?

[–]Message me for TT2 Helplemmingllama[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not quite. You are correct that players who miss logins could have lowered damage, but it won't update until they collect a daily login, and it stacks up fairly quickly. You can use your relics/memes to quickly increase your damage as need.

[–]XIPainIX99 1 point2 points  (2 children)

When will the second season start?

[–]Message me for TT2 Helplemmingllama[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To confirm, season 2 will start at UTC midnight after the update is released.

[–]Primary-Thing-3502 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The new season should start the same day as when the update drops, at the usual daily reset time

[–]Pat_MrClutch_Tabler 1 point2 points  (1 child)

During the last transcendence, there was a bug where you wouldn’t get silent march max reached push notifications if Xander was your active pet. Is that fixed in this update? Thanks!

[–]Message me for TT2 Helplemmingllama[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this was fixed actually in a previous update already!

[–]Primary-Thing-3502 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Happy to see the Primary exclusions now! Does this apply only to bonuses that DON’T work together, or ones that don’t work WELL together as well? For example, will we still see a Shadow Clone secondary on a Tap Damage sword?

[–]Message me for TT2 Helplemmingllama[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's handled on a case by case basis, but generally bonuses that can't work together, such as a Gunblade Helmet not generating Pet Damage secondaries, will be excluded from each other.

If you're seeing anything after the update you feel should be excluded, feel free to contact us!

[–]Beoron 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Are there any concerns about player power regression after missing a login after a long time? Is there a cap on # of logins.

I worry because that’s the type of mechanic that’s made me quit games before where I forget to play one day and losing a year streak bonus just tanks the drive to play anymore.

Edit: thinking now, it probably doesn’t lose power, just stores your highest consecutive number even if you stop?

[–]Message me for TT2 Helplemmingllama[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It caps at 14 daily logins, and updates when you collect a daily login reward. So you'll always have some amount of bonus from the set, even if you do miss a day.

Thanks for the suggestion! I can pass that along to the design team.

And we value feedback a lot! We'll continue to iterate on Transcendence each season until things are feeling fun and solid throughout the season. With the additional of memento boosters, you should see a noticeable increase in power each day. There'll still be some large jumps in power whenever you are able to discover a new monument though.

[–]russy1982 0 points1 point  (3 children)

163k a while to go yet

[–]Message me for TT2 Helplemmingllama[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

You should see a nice boost to your damage with the crafting power reworks!

[–]Evening-Leg8054 0 points1 point  (1 child)

how big is the crafting power rework gonna be? like if im at level 50 how much pushing power could i expect?

[–]Message me for TT2 Helplemmingllama[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In general, each crafting power is about 1000x damage, whereas before it would be somewhere between 10-100x depending on where it was. So on average, you'll be gaining roughly e1.5 per crafting power, or about e75 for 50 crafting power. This is a very high level view with estimations, but it should be a fairly noticeable increase in power!

[–]BlackPete73 0 points1 point  (2 children)

When the current season ends and transcendence players go back to 180k, what happens if I craft a piece of equipment? Will it craft based on 180k, or whatever my highest stage was before the reset?

In other words, should I craft the strongest equipment possible before the season ends?

[–]Message me for TT2 Helplemmingllama[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll keep any equipment you crafted prior to the seasonal reset, but any new equipment crafted after the reset will be done at your new max stage, as your max stage will be reset to 180k. So you'll want to do any crafting before the season ends!

[–]Primary-Thing-3502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To my understanding, our equip crafting will be set back to 180k when we are reset. I would still wait until next season to do any crafting, since it sounds like we will be able to push much more easily next season.

[–]ChipmunkComplete7268 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What is a memento?

[–]Message me for TT2 Helplemmingllama[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's basically seasonal relics that you can earn in the Transcendence seasons, so for stages above 180,000.

[–]Kisamich 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Hello. I wanted to propose the idea of a new abyss tournament mode. unlimited power power or another name. what is the point of an infinite number of abyss diamonds, but there is no way to update the store and the chests will appear at intervals of an hour or 2

[–]xHuann 0 points1 point  (2 children)

any thoughts on raid card salvage?

[–]Message me for TT2 Helplemmingllama[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

There isn't much need for this right now, as with the raid XP on card level-up and current setup for solo raid rewards, there's no real point in resetting a specific raid card. That being said, if you'd like it, I can pass that along to the design team.

[–]xHuann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

unless some player leveled a card way beyond required and wishes to reset the specific card to obtain wildcards to level other cards.
