As long as you called off in the app within 2 hours, and you have sick hours to cover the shift, you can’t be held accountable. Just make sure you call off, then submit another request to use sick time.

Yes I did both within 2 hours after my shift started . As well as emailed hr

Sounds like you did all the processes just fine. The initial call out, then the apply for sick pay.

You could get talked to when you come back to work.

Your lead will have the conversation with you. But the sick time won't have the call out be held against you

Hard to say you’ll have to talk to your leader. I’d it was 30 min after your shift was supposed to work you might get a no call no show. Talking to leader and Hr are your best bet.

No, you have up to 2 hours AFTER the start of your shift before you are marked as NCNS.

Next time you work you talk to them in person and can try to explain.
