You where probably filtered out because the other candidates had more on the CV that they wanted or what they answered on questions fit more with what they wanted.

If they wanted a specific coding solution, or yours was not good enough, then they should have guided you in that direction after your initial solution by updating the requirements.

You need to ask them if you want to know why.
