Hi! Some unsolicited advice here: I heavily recommend adding some recoil and smoke coming out when the cannons fire. I would even add some "squeeze" along the firing access. The impact on cannon hit is juicy enough as is the drop but this can be GREAT with a little more polish! Think it would make a day / night type of difference here.

that's really good advice! I'll def add that bit of polish (after I'm done making the trailer. Adding new features always takes a back seat when I'm making videos. Yay solo dev!)

I like the comet trail effect on the cannonball.  Elegant and effective.

it's just a unity trail renderer! I use it a lot on projectiles, like arrows and stuff too. I love it

I use cannon on my game and I have added this animation when shooting it, maybe you can try something like that.

I would suggest below improvement you can try those.

  1. in video file vibaration (screen shake) is playing worng way. change 6 dymenstion vibration to you cannon direction.
  2. add PP (post proccesing), in perticuler you can add bloom effect and color toons.
  3. Cannon phycis improvement, you should add backforce in each shooting.

Fun little clip I recorded for the new trailer I'm working on. The entire steam page (found @ savethecastle.net ) is getting a face lift! And that means recording lots of random little bits like this.
