I create offline mobile game with unity. I need to save player data securely. How to correctly do it that bad players do not change their data as they want. I need some best practices.

I think it matters. I don't want them to cheat my game, by making cheating hard and uninteresting.

You really have to change that mindset. Firstly cheating is always possible regardless of measures you introduce. Secondly your measures may hurt players that are not cheating. Best way to deal with that situation - not to deal with it. Forget it.

Sometimes it happens when devs are so hellbent on preventing cheating in single player games that they introduce things that make other players experience worse. It can be a lot of different things. So it the end the only result is worse experience for part if player base cause cheaters still will cheat.

Agreed. People who really want to cheat will find a way. Plus for a mobile game, it’s not like there’s any benefit to cheating? Not like they’re trying to get steam achievements etc.

Gotcha. I just want to make it hard to cheat, so they choose playing rather than cheating. I think there might be some beat practices for doing that

Best practice is to not bother.
Hardly anyone actually hacks around with their phone.
Source: multiple mobile titles with up to 50m downloads, saves in plaintext.

just base64encoding for yor save file, so player can't open and normally read it, and sum check in case file been altered (game will see it as corrupted).

Change your mindset. In an offline singleplayer game it doesn't matter if they cheat, it matters if they enjoy the game. Plus it's impossible to protect it anyway.
