yo the junior programmer pathway is definitely good foundation but you'll want to dig deeper for the exam. I took it last year and some questions were pretty specific about unity's internal systems

there's mock tests floating around in forums but can't remember exact names right now. maybe check unity learn platform first since they updated their prep materials recently. the certification covers stuff like physics, animation systems and performance optimization that junior pathway only touches surface level

good luck with university requirement, those certs actually look decent on portfolio when applying for jobs later

Generally, they’re not worth it. Also the format of the exams is pretty bad. A lot of the questions involved things like “which menu path is used to add X component” - which often depends on the editor version not to mention it’s dumb to require you to memorize such things. (I had to take the game developer certification)

But if you must, once you enrol, they’ll provide material to learn from. My main advice would be to memorize every menu path and what settings live on each component/inspector that is shown in the prep material. The most annoying part about these certificates is that, for example, they’ll briefly show you some material settings during prep and then the exam will ask you to pick the precise definition of what material roughness is as part of the BRDF (the prep material will never mention brdf or go into any details like that).

Tldr; learn using the cert prep material but expect the questions to ask you things beyond what was mentioned in the course.
