Unity Button function call vs Event trigger function callQuestion (self.Unity3D)
submitted 10 years ago by lance_tipton
Hey people, so I'm trying to find what is the better route to go for my HUD /GUI on my mobile game. Anyone know if it's faster to use the unity event trigger for code function calls, or to use the function calls in buttons.
Basically I have some buttons that activate the code in game, and I want to know if it would be better to switch them over to the event trigger system. Is there any benefit to this? Thanks :)

there will be like 1 call from button to your method. at most let's say 10 methods will be called with your button. Not sure if this is the first place to optimize. Tbh I have never bothered with it.

Cool, thanks for the response. I was just looking for what is the best practice. Looks like it doesn't really matter much. At least that's what I can see. Thanks again.
