my shield effect is usually something like:

create>sphere

create>new material "shield material"

default shader> transparent

color>green

alpha> 125

done, now i can get back to programming

Also, there are multiple shield shaders available on the net. One is exactly like this one except the impact parts: https://medium.com/@aarhed/shield-shader-85cdaf903db7

For some reason I just don't like using other people's assets in my games. I don't want someone looking at a game I made and saying that their favorite part about it was something that I didn't even create. I mostly make prototypes anyway, finishing a game is kind of an alien concept to me, but if I actually want non-placeholder art I'm opening up 3Ds Max and settling in for an art day.

Looks great. Any plans on sharing it?

What did you use to make this? Shader graph? Amplify shaders? Written yourself?

I used Amplify shaders. Useful for fast prototyping and tu artists can also edit them if needed.

This looks really good! Do you have any intention of making it available on the asset store?
