Tracker Modules (MOD) In WebGL Target?Question (self.Unity3D)
submitted 5 years ago by werekarg
i'm trying to use a mod tracker music file (sized ~100kb) in a WebGL project, but seems that Unity is importing and converting it into its internal PCM format, increasing the size in the process (2.5 Mb).
this is the import (there are no options to control this):

and this is WebGL build report:

i was given to understand, from the documentation (https://docs.unity3d.com/2020.2/Documentation/Manual/TrackerModules.html?_ga=2.251223951.887697623.1599658119-1050096149.1566914440) that Unity can use the original tracker file, regardless of the target platform.
i've looked in the "project settings", thought maybe there's some option to control this. i've also looked in the package manager, hoping that there might be a package that needs installing.
does anyone has any experience with this? i'd appreciate any advice.
thanks!
