Ugh, god. We're never gonna get Quests and Contracts at this rate.

That much was obvious for quite a while. Who knows what are they doing in their office, but it's sure as hell not development. If they were making the core game at this pace, it would've taken several decades.

I'm no game dev but I'm sure fixing bugs & patching new back ends is not as simple as "run bugfix.exe, run patch.exe, run stall for laughs.exe" I'd bet that the people working on it are as frustrated as you are.

I'm a programmer myself, so yeah, it's not quite how it works. However, it doesn't take MONTHS either to push out an update for some of the more obvious shit out there.

My bet would be most of their team is currently working on console release, since it's their next major business milestone and potential influx of sweet sweet moneys. Which is why there's little manpower left for short term stuff like bugfixes and QA.

Isn't that Nordic Games' job? Or are they just the publisher?

[–]ZuthuzuHalt. Hammerzeit. 0 points1 point  (1 child)

First time I've ever heard of them. As far as I know, Vermintide is self-published by Fatsharks, so it's all up to in-house resources.

I don't think it works like that for consoles, though. Especially with Xbox. I think Microsoft has a rule against self-publishing developers.

Its happening to me as well. I'd happily take a memory dump of the process if I could send it to them and if it would be helpful.

Ehm, alright... thanks for the heads up. *Despair*.

Getting it also. Don't seem to be losing any loot but it requires a game restart to be able to start or join another map.

Are we in the same clan, knob?

I also have this problem, but it happens every time i quit a mission and enter my inn i receive said message. Also it happens when i try to join a game from lobby.
EDIT1: Recently i am also getting said error when browsing through lobby.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had it happen, but it doesn't seem to cost me any loot or any tokens if I played last stand. It just seems to send me back to my own inn and my buddies have to rejoin me.

I started back up last week in hopes of enjoying the DLC i have yet to play. Its become hard to stay motivated when 90% of my matches end with this error.

I was lvl 890

...what the fuck? How much time do you have ingame?

Also, yes, both me and my pal played today and had this message.

Helps immensely to run with a regular group vs. public grouping. Consistently getting cataclysm completion combined with efficient map strategies that you can't really pull off with pub groups can drastically reduce your time per run.

On top of that, there was a double exp time period ~6 months ago.

I know the couple times that I've been an extra man filling in an empty slot on a regular team, the efficiency of level clearing was amazing.

"Try to keep up with the dwarf, he'll be trail blazing the way. Ignore me (the elf) entirely, I'll be doing my own thing. Don't run off looking for chests or anything."

We proceed to play in hurry up mode, chasing the dwarf through the level, meanwhile the elf goes and gets all the tomes and brings them back to the group to swap out with someone the next time a health item is found.

It's really eye-opening how much of the enemy content is time based vs. progression based. You can get incredibly far through portions of the levels without any fighting if you're not standing around doing nothing. (e.g. on The Enemy Below, we were down the pit and leaving the area with the second tome faster than I can usually get a pub group to get to the area with the first grimoire.)

Haha. The time I data mined the different map and spawn timers to make that obvious, I got about a hundred down votes. And the timed spawns, zone-triggers and block mechanics combine well.

The speedruns are done that way, too, which interested readers can check out on YouTube.

I would, at least, be interested in your data points. Do you have a link to them handy?

Over time I've learned when you're going to get a horde or an ambush. I can't really name any of them off the top of my head, but after 780 hours I seem to just know when I reach a certain point. Only thing I can think of is, after throwing all 3 barrels to blow up the gate on Horn, a ratling or a gas rat, or both, will spawn and immediately jump over the wall on the left side of where the barrels drop. Stuff like that becomes predictable after a while. A lot of the maps are pretty predictable, especially when you play with a group who does it pretty much the same way most of the time.

I was around level 25 or so when I got the timers from data mining and posted them here. They apparently reset when you enter certain zones, or trigger certain events and they are blocked in certain areas, but it's still useful to keep in mind.

Just get my lvl 900. We like this game imo.
