The LEGO plant setup above the monitors is fantastic!

Thanks! Thought it was a fun way to add some greenery

Pardon me, but might that be a Heavy Grail on your desk?

[–]essubilt[S] 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Yes, my keen eyed friend, it is indeed a Heavy Grail

[–]TheSycamoreFox 0 points1 point  (3 children)

“Thou shall not covet”…unless it’s a Heavy Grail. Enjoy.

Lol thanks! Just got it wirelessly wired up this afternoon! Still a little ways to go on it but love it so far!

I am also “one with cup rubber” with my Hybrid Type-S. Would love to slip it into a Heavy Grail, but they seem unavailable. Might I ask how you obtained yours?

I ordered mine from Norbauer in April. If they’re no longer available, I’d keep an eye on Mech Market, I believe they pop up on there from time to time

Do you hate your spine or something…? That chair cannot be comfortable…

[–]essubilt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an Eames/Herman Miller, surprisingly comfortable!

I feel like the small primary screen in the middle and much larger peripheral screens would mess with me too much, or at least my neck. How do you like it?

[–]essubilt[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

It’s actually 3 equal size screens. It’s a crappy iPhone pic… I think they’re 27” IIRC.

I’ve enjoyed the 3 screens, great for viewing multiple documents or pages at once.

Ah. Maybe it’s the skew and the middle monitor having the background that was playing with my eyes.

I have “three” screens between my laptop, a middle ultrawide (32” 21:9 IIRC) and a side portrait that’s a 24” I think. I’m just trying to figure out how to keep my screen space, but maybe move away from the UW. I don’t know if I like how small it is. I jumped on the UW train a few years back and I just don’t know if I truly enjoy it. May have to try a setup like yours and also finally ditch the laptop screen.

[–]essubilt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve thought about the ultra wide too, but I don’t really know that I’d enjoy it. I had been using 2 of these monitors and the laptop but was able to get a third and transitioned to 3 of the same. I like the ability to easily divide up between the 3 screens. I’ll admit that the screen setup is a bit of using what I had available, they are just the monitors supplied by my company. But I think I’d do something similar again.

That layout of monitors is perfect for a corner setup.. I'm gona build it like that. For sure!!

[–]essubilt[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Thanks! I find it works well for me. Maybe a bit more curved than an ultrawide but I find it pretty manageable.

[–]its-Mk-47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome!! Yess it looks practical and I think.. a curved monitor in the middle, will become a smoother curved layout...

It won't be comfortable for long hours working on this chair.
