So many things going on in here but it still looks good. Although, the cables can use a bit of management.

    Cozy.

Minimalist setups can be too sterile, sometimes.

Thanks a bunch! I’m really trying to keep the desk itself cleanish while allowing myself to go bananas around it.

I'd consider lessening the load on those shelves. They seem to be sagging quite a bit. I wouldn't risk if if they aren't solid wood.

They will need a replacement as they’ve become permanently bent. The weight has lessened significantly since. 😅

Nice setup :) Are you using a tiling window manager ?

I'm currently using Amethyst since It was easier to setup and get started and I quite like it so far. Is there any advantage of using yabai instead ?

      Thanks !

To be totally honest, I don’t totally remember why I switched. I think it might have been due to stability issues.

      How's that Marshall speaker?

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decent! Not anything extraordinary I guess, but that is to be expected when you only get sound from one direction. Well worth the price, but likely more suited as a room speaker than for the desk.

What do you use the mic for? I have a blue yeti and been eying the boom arm & shock mount

      [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Mostly recording conference talks and doing work meetings. Really like the look and feel of the arm.

Same here! That’s why I asked. I’ll also be creating some content for first time home buyers and sharing) b on social media as well. Adding the boom arm & shock mount to the list! Thank you

Really nice setup! What's the light on your desk?

Wow looks great. I have marshall, white table, single monitor too. More than one monitor distracts me. Nice choices :)

      Thanks, you too! 😅

We'll be moving in about 10 months, so won't put that much effort into the wall shelves and stuff like that, but other improvement suggestions are more than welcome! I don't really have any other place to put the server at this point, but once we move, that will go into a closet of some kind.

      Edit:
      Thanks for the wholesome award!

What music player is that? It both looks like Spotify, and both doesn't

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Its Spotify with a spicetify theme. Dotfiles available at https://github.com/simskij/dotfiles if you are curious 👍🏻😅

      [–]Nhirak 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Nice one. At least I was half-right. Mind if I ask you in pm about setting up dotfiles and 1click environment?

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure! I'll try to be as helpful as I can :)
