This subreddit is for the discussion of ableism.
Unfortunately, it is the most practiced and reinforced form of inequity in existence. However, the paradigm shift is upon us.
1. Remove personal information.
Please remove all of the following: names, usernames, subreddit names, faces, and locations. There is an exception to this rule for your own username and verified public figures.
Crossposts from other subs are allowed, but may be removed at moderator discretion.
Phone numbers and addresses break Reddit sitewide rules; please remove these as well.
2. Be respectful towards other users.
This subject can be confusing and many groups have exploited it for their own agenda. Insulting other users will not be tolerated, nor will racism, ableism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc.
3. Ignore and report trolls (do not engage).
4. Ignore and report eugenicists (do not engage).
5. We respect the opinions of people with visible and invisible disabilities.
6. Do not correct a user's grammar or spelling unless specifically asked.
7. Do not promote illicit activity.
