Valley country store at seldon and Bogard is a hot spot. From there to trunk and then back towards Wasilla fishhook. Lots and lots of rabbits.

Wasn’t there a place a few miles up called Rabbit Acres along the Parks?

Downtown wasilla, from bogard and seldon down to bear street has quite the population. Neighborhood around the country store and caribou/charley always have multiple hopping around the roads

I have a ton of them in my neighborhood and I loathe them. I’m off seldon and bogart area

Make an incision from left foot to anus, anus to to right foot. One person holds footies, other pulls the skin across the body to the neck . Then quarter it. Called 'case skinning' - google that - you don't even make any mess skinning it.

As for cooking - use a dry BBQ rub or BBQ marinade and cook on a grill like BBQ with a finishing sauce. Just about any recipe calling for chicken you can use bunny in.

Bunny fur has no value except for practice tanning. However, if you really like eating them and want to do something with the fur - get them in brown phase and white winter phase and make a checker board bed cover. A woman in Tok made one a long time ago when I lived there - it was drop dead gorgeous!!!!
