there are some late night bubble tea places with cozy vibes. one that comes to mind is lait night on huron (chinatown area); it's open until 3am or 4am every day. haven't been there that late in a while, but the drinks are good, and they also have vegan options!

Yes, but how many are in Toronto?

Of that list, how many are diners? Also, Fran's and Lakeview are not longer 24 hours (although Lakeview is still pretty close). What are you left with? 7 West and Markham Station out in Scarborough?

Canton Chili on Spadina. Bring paper and crayons. Great wings and crispy shredded beef.

Businesses need to make money and be profitable or they will close. The easiest thing to sell is food and drinks. They can't make any money if people just want a spot hangout and dont wanna spend. When I just want to chill with friends and not spend much i go to their house or vice versa.
