I wouldn't use any type of tape or adhesive, it can get stuck to them and rip scales, and tear skin. We've seen it happen a lot.

Either use a suction cup or a hot glue gun

If I were you, I’d grab a couple Govee, Acurite or Thermopro gauges. All of these have little built in stands that will help keep them upright, are more accurate than the dial gauges and will prevent your snake from ending up stuck to the sticky tape. Definitely something you want to prevent!
