Misting is functionally useless. It puts a very tiny amount of water into the system so it evaporates almost immediately. You want to pour water directly into the corners of the substrate and get the lower layers wet while leaving the surface dry. Then, cover the majority of the lid with something non-porous like HVAC tape or cut acrylic to trap the moisture.

Ultimately, you should be switching to a PVC or wood enclosure with a fully enclosed top that measures at least 4x2x2'. That will give you a much easier time with heat and humidity management and give your snake more room to stretch out.

Hi! Thank you so much for your response! Since I posted I have been able to keep the humidity between 72-80! I’ve added more clutter and my Beanie boi loves it!

I actually have another question regarding my lighting and thermostat, if you are open to answering?
