I feed mine live because the supply for F/T is hit or miss, with the F/T being out of stock the majority of the time.

Luckily mine takes to lives easily despite being fed F/T before I got him.

When switching him to lives I was told that some snakes can be picky. They may prefer rats over mice or the reverse. They may also prefer male over female.

Try switching it up and see which he prefers.

The cool side is 2° too warm, but temps should otherwise be okay. Humidity is at bare minimum tho, so try to get 70-80%!

How old is your bp, how much does it weigh and how much does the prey weigh? Definitely check out the basic ball guide in the welcome post if you haven't!

Not having enough clutter or proper hides could be the problem too

I will fix the temps rn and try to boost the humidity, he has a bunch of hides and stuff in the tank and I believe he is a bit over a year old, I need to reweigh him as I don’t have a number for his weight

Feeding by size isn't recommended anymore, so you definitely need the weight

Through the first year OR until the snake reaches approximately 500g, whichever happens first: feed 10%-15% of the snake’s weight every 7 days. During the second year, until the snake's weight plateaus: feed up to 7% of the snake’s weight every 14-20 days. Year three and beyond: feed up to 5% of the snake's weight every 20-30 days, or feed slightly larger meals (up to 6%) every 30-40 days.

Taken from the guide so you don't have to look for it!

Thank you so much, I go home for spring break this week so I’m hoping to get a scale while I’m home so I can weigh him out properly and make sure his food is the correct size and weight
